TDM is a digital process which can be applied if the data rate capacity of the transmission medium is bigger than the data rate needed by the sending and receiving devices.
Synchronous TDM: In STDM, the multiplexer assigns exactly similar time slot to each device at all times, whether or not a device consists of anything to transmit.
