The Amoebiasis in man is caused by the infection of protozoan parasite named Entamoeba histolytica. The vegetative trophozoite form is pathogenic. Trophozoites make their way deep in the sub mucosa of the large intestinal wall by eating via the intestinal mucosa. The blood and ulcer contents pour to the lumen of the intestine and pass out as the bloody stool.
