Wall resistance, or turgor pressure (or TP), is the pressure made up by the distension of the plant cell wall in opposition to the rise of the cell volume. The wall resistance works against the entrance of water in cell, that is, it acts forcing the exiting of water and balances the entrance of the solvent through osmosis.
