The valves of venous system are structures which allow the blood to flow in normal way which is from the tissues upto the heart and forbid it to return in reverse way in favor of the gravity. The valves close down while the pressure of the fluid column above is higher as compared to the fluid pressure before them. Valves are thus primary in order to return the blood to the heart.
