Client application uses a .disco file in order to locate or discover the documents which includes the description of the Web service. The .disco file consists of the links to other resources, that explains the essential features, for example, capabilities of a Web service. Links which is contained in the .disco file may refer to other discovery documents or XSD schemas. Description about the services and abilities of the Web service is specified in the Web services Description Language (WSDL). A .disco file may also contains the information about other XML Web services which reside over the same or a different Web server.
