Vaccines are generally constituted of dead agents of the disease, of inactivated agents of the disease, of inactivated toxins or of fragments of infectious agent.
Various examples of some of the vaccines and their type of antigenic agents are: BCG, inactivated tuberculosis bacilli;, inactivated toxin; antidiphtheric, antitetanic vaccine inactivated toxin; dead poliovirus; antipolio Sabin, antipolio Salk, attenuated (inactivated) poliovirus.
