Supersaturated Flow on steam nozzles
Write short note on Supersaturated Flow on steam nozzles.
Expert
Supersaturated Flow is also called as metastable flow. When the supersaturated steam gets expanded in the nozzle the condensation occurs in the nozzle. As, the steam has a greater velocity, the condensation does not take place at the estimated rate. So the equilibrium state between the liquid and vapour phase gets delayed and the steam gets expanded in a dry state. This Flow of steam expanding is known as supersaturated flow.
