Supersaturated Flow is also called as metastable flow. When the supersaturated steam gets expanded in the nozzle the condensation occurs in the nozzle. As, the steam has a greater velocity, the condensation does not take place at the estimated rate. So the equilibrium state between the liquid and vapour phase gets delayed and the steam gets expanded in a dry state. This Flow of steam expanding is known as supersaturated flow.
