  • Hard disks in them hold different components like Spindle, Platter, Actuator, Jumper block, power connector, IDE connector and so forth.
  • In hard disk there is the spindle that is employed to hold circular magnetic disks also termed as platters. They are commonly made up of a non magnetic material, (or aluminum alloy).
  • Such platters are spun at speeds in excess of 4000 RPM; these days 7200 RPM based hard disks are ordinary sufficient.
  • The write and read heads work on such spinning platters to read and write data. They are managed through an actuator arm which saves from any error.
