Functional unit of muscle fibers are sarcomeres. In the sarcomeres, blocks of myosin and actin molecules are posed in the organized manner. Sarcomeres are align in sequence forming the myofibrils which are longitudinally placed within the cytoplasm of the muscle fibers.
