Computer numerically control machine is a mechatronic system. We can use a servo drive subsystem which could be improved by mechatronic integration approach.

Servo drive is the drive receives signals from the cnc system and transforms it into actual movement on the machine. The actual rate of movement & direction depends upon the command signal from the cnc system. There are various types of it, viz, d.c and a.c drives and stepper motor drives. It consists of mainly two parts namely, the motor and the electronics for driving the motor.

Hence, we can use it as a subsystem.
