The parathormone raises the calcium blood level as it stimulates the resorption (or remodelation) of the osseous tissue. Whenever osteoclasts remodel bones, calcium is liberated in the circulation. Parathormone as well acts raising the calcium absorption in the intestines through vitamin D activation. This acts in the kidneys promoting the tubular calcium resorption as well.
