Scenario and Implementation: The network topology for each switch control nodes is the stat topology. The workstation on each floor will be allotted switches, in order to establish connection between the two different networks with respect to location. In each and every building, every floor will be assigned a switch via which the network connection will be given to all the systems in the school. Each system will obey a common gateway system in order to access the network.
The kind of media which can be employed to connect the building can be coaxial cableor or fiber optics. While discussing about the cost, the coaxial cable can be considered as good because it suits for every organization without compromising the efficiency of the network. But when discussing about the service time for each network especially at peak hours, the fiber optics can be used in order to provide on demand services.
Considering a scenario in which the first building that is the administrative block it is divided in to 3 floors including the ground floor. In the first floor, operations of administrative task are performed. In the second floor other official work is managed whereas, in the third floor servers are managed. Hence this floor need to be properly organized and managed In order to communicate with all the available workstations. In the second building the wireless access points need to be created in order to provide wireless connections whereas, In building three which is a library holds a center position in the given map and also need to be managed in order to provide wireless connection. Discussing about the another block, ground and first floor, are allotted to the admin in which there is a separate meeting room as well as video conferencing room, which requires a separate dedicating wireless connection in order to provide good bandwidth. Hence two routers will be used for this floor in order to provide network. The first router will be located in the meeting room, and the other one will be located at the right corner, this will enable to provide better channel utilization. In this case the type of media which will be using for establishing network is coaxial cable. The length of wires for first router can be arranged from 25 meter to 30 meter and for another router can range from 44 to 45 meter. In the second floor 3 routers are needed 2 will be placed at 2 different corners, and 1 will be placed at the middle in order to provide full network to all the workstations, In this case the length of wire which is needed for all the routers are 44, 18.5, 37. Discussing about the 3rd floor 2 routers are needed which will be placed at the corner positions in order to get full access to the server. The length for this is 44 and 34-35 meter.
