The reported distance to a route which is sent to the other router is the feasible distance on reporting router. Feasible distance is the reported distance bonus the metric among the receiving and reporting routers. The route with the minimum feasible distance is the successor. Any routes with a reported distance which is less than the feasible distance are the feasible successors.
