Proteins which constitute the sarcomere
Specify the chief proteins that constitute the sarcomere? List out the function of those molecules within the muscle cells?
Expert
In sarcomere, there exist organized myosin and actin blocks. Tropomyosin and troponin are coupled to the actin. Actin molecules whenever activated by the calcium ions which are released in the proximities of sarcomere, are dragged by the myosin molecules. This interaction between the myosin and actin shortens the myofibrils initiating the mechanism of the muscle contraction.
