Properties of system
Specify the properties of system?
Expert
a) Stability : A system is termed as stable if the input x(t) satisfies the condition (t)¦≤Mx<∞ and the output satisfies the condition ¦y(t)¦≤My<∞ for all t.
b) Memory : A system is known as memory if output signal depends upon present and past inputs.
c) Invertibility : If input of system can be recovered from system output it is said to be invertible.
d) Time invariance : If time delay or the advance of input signal leads to identical time shift in the output signal it is said to be time invariant.
e) Linearity : A system is termed as linear if it satisfies the super position principle i.e. R(ax1(t)+bx2(t))=ax1(t)+bx2(t).
