Standalone repository: The repository which functions separately, un-related and un-connected to the other repositories.
Global repository: (Power Center only.) the centralized repository in the domain or the group of connected repositories. Each domain can hold one global repository. The global repository can hold common objects to be shared by the domain throughout global shortcuts.
Local repository: (Power Center only.) A repository in a domain which is not global repository. Each local repository in domain can connect to the global repository and employ objects into its shared folders. Power Center repository is employed to keep informatica's Meta data.
