Within the first mentioned group of animals there exist photoreceptor cells which are organized within the ocelli or diffusely dispersed within the body. These animals do not make the images. Within the animals of second group the photoreceptor cells are part of more sophisticated structures, the eyes, able in order to form the images and in order to send them to the nervous system.
