Expert
The exocrine secretion of pancreas is generated in the pancreatic acini, aggregates of secretory cells which surround small exocrine ducts. Exocrine pancreas secretes the digestive enzymes of the pancreatic juice: amylase, trypsin, lipase, chymotrypsin, carboxypeptidase, ribonuclease, elastase, deoxyribonuclease and gelatinase.
The endocrine secretion of pancreas is generated and secreted by small groups of cells scattered all through the organ termed as islets of Langerhans. The pancreatic islets form insulin, glucagon and somatostatin.
