In Open circulatory system the blood does not only circulate within the blood vessels but it also falls into the cavities which irrigate the tissues. In open circulatory system, the pressure of the blood is low and normally the blood also called as hemolymph has low cellularity. Arthropods, protochordates and molluscs (the cephalopods are exception) do have open circulatory system.
