a) In Online mode, we are able to access the networked environment where we may access the repository that was developed by the general supervisor. We may also export/ import the universes and document whenever we are in the online mode and this is the default mode. That is, working with the repository
b) In the Offline mode, we are not able to access the repository. Working in offline mode means that you work with the universes which are stored locally on your computer. In order to use this mode, you should have been associated at least once in the online mode.
