Explain the normal sign of an electric charge among the two sides of neuron plasma membrane? Describe the potential difference (or voltage) produced between such two sides? What is that voltage termed?

As in most cells the area just exterior to the surface of neuron plasma membrane represents a positive electrical charge in relation to the area just within that therefore is negative.

The normal potential difference across the neuron membrane is around 70 mV (millivolts). This voltage is termed as the resting potential of neuron.
