Lack of niacin causes nervousness, digestive disturbances, loss of pellagra and energy. Lack of vitamin B6 causes skin lesions, convulsions and irritation.

Vitamin B12 acts altogether with folic acid and its scarcity causes cell division disruptions leading to the pernicious anemia (a kind of megaloblastic and nutrient scarcity anemia).The absorption of vitamin B12 based on another substance termed as the intrinsic factor secreted by the gastric mucosa.
