Give a brief explanation of Message Authentication Codes.
Expert
The message authentication code (or MAC) is the authentication tag (as well named as checksum) derived by the application of the authentication scheme, together with the secret key, to a message. MACs are computed and found out with the same key so they can only be found out by the intended receiver, unlike digital signatures.
