Management acts as both Science and Art
Describe how management acts as both Science and Art. Illustrate.
Expert
The management is both an art and a science. The management combines the features of both the science and also art. This is considered as a science as it has an organized body of knowledge that contains some universal truth. This is termed as an art since managing needs some skills that are personal possessions of managers. Science gives the knowledge and art deals with the application of skills and knowledge.
To be successful a manager in his profession should attain the knowledge of science and art of applying it. Thus management is a sensible blend of science as well as art since it proves the principles and the manner these principles are applied is a matter of art. The science teaches to ‘know’ and the art teaches to ’do’.
