Making of cillia and flagella of eukaryotic cells
Which are the cell organelles which participate in cell division and in the making of cillia and flagella of certain eukaryotic cells?
Expert
The organelles which contribute in the cell division and in the formation of cilia and flagella of certain eukaryotic cells are the centrioles. Certain cells contain cillia (paramecium, the bronchial ciliated epithelium and so on) or flagella (that is, flagellate protists, sperm cells and so on); such cell structures are comprised of microtubules initiated from the centrioles. Centrioles as well make the aster microtubules which are very significant for cell division.
