Major components of cytoskeleton

Major components of cytoskeleton: The cytoskeleton is a network of much small tubules and filaments distributed all through the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. This is made up of microtubules, microfilaments and intermediary filaments.

Microtubules are made by molecules of a protein termed as tubulin. Microfilaments are made up of actin, the similar protein which participates in the contraction of muscle cells. Intermediary filaments are made up of protein too.
