Lower for a specified company-the cost of debt or equity

Which is lower for a specified company:  the cost of debt or the cost of equity?  Describe.  Ignore taxes in your answer.

The cost of debt is always less than the cost of equity for a specified firm. It is because the debt investor is taking a lower risk than the equity investor and thus the needed rate of return is lower.
