Adult hookworms in the human intestine release eggs which are eliminated with human feces. Under sufficient situations of moisture and temperature the eggs mature in soil and create larvae. The larvae distinguish in thread-like infective larvae which can penetrate the human skin, usually through the feet. When the larvae are swallowed they go into the small intestine and develop in adult worms and cycle restarts.
