Introduction to Network Analysis:
A) Used for the management of complex projects which have several (even hundreds) of activities, related to each other in specified ways.
B) Enables us to calculate:
- The total time needed to complete a project
- How much time each activity has to spare without creating a risk to completion time for the overall project. This is known as float or slack.
C) Those set of activities which have no spare time constitute the critical path of the project:
- hence the critical path method (CPM).
