The lymph nodes, or lymph glands, have the lymphoid tissue that generates the lymphocytes. In infectious and inflammatory conditions, the magnification of the lymph nodes of the lymphatic circuits which drain the affected region because of the reactive proliferation of leukocytes is common. This magnification is called as lymphadenomegaly and at times it is accompanied with the pain.
