Increase and decrease of plant transpiration

When the air humidity is high does the plant transpiration increases or lowers?

When the air humidity is high, the transpiration vanishes. As the transpiration refers to the simple diffusion process it depends on the concentration gradient of the water between plant and environment. In case, the atmosphere has large amount of water vapor the gradient becomes lower or even get reversed.
