This is used in order to transfer the data between slower I/O device and microprocessor. In some of the applns, speed of I/O systems is not compatible along with the microprocessor’s timings. Thus, the microprocessor need to confirm whether peripheral is ready or not. In case the READY pin is high, peripheral is ready or else the 8085 enters in to the wait state.
