Impacts of Organizational change:
Organizational change can have two impacts: 1) Positive and 2) Negative. In terms of the Organization, Organizational Power, Politics and Conflict plays a vital role when it comes to implement the organizational change and create huge impact in internal management and external management of the organization.
Power, politics and conflict all has different story with in the different organization. Power can be associated with Leaders, Top managements; Middle Managements, Low Level Managements or it can be related with Labor union. Every Individual has a different power which creates a different change and which make a difference in the organization. For example: if Top level managements are more powerful than middle and low level managements means the communication flow is based on top to bottom then decision and execution plan defined by the top managements in this case there is no involvement of the middle and bottom line managements. In the same thing happened in every level as per their activeness within the organization. Politics also matter a lot and affect to organization. Now the question comes here what type of politics going on within the organization. If there is good politics means good in terms of Managements and employees then it always create good impact and create positive change within the organization. If it’s bad then the impact also will be bad. Conflict can be of two types inter-conflict or intra-conflict. In case of Inter-conflict it can related to managements and employees or with managements or within employees all create negative affect in the organization and also a barrier for the growth. In case of the intra-conflict it is related with individuals’ who works with the organization. We know that individuals performance consolidated affect the organization’s performance. This is also not good for the organization and demand for the positive change.
Now in every case or factors which I discussed in the above, to solve or to make any change the managers playing a key role here. Any small or big change within the organization, managers always playing very big role the impact can be depends on the managerial skills ability and strategy by which he can come up with solutions. We know and already discussed that all by given factors create two types of problems 1) Internal Problems and 2) External Problems.
Here Mangers are manage and by the help of the resources try to come up with best option for the running situations. If managers have good KSA (Knowledge, Skill and Ability) the organization will definitely grow create positive change within the organization.
