HRM is encompasses all types of personnel of the organization from top to the bottom. The main categorization of personnel in an industrial enterprise are  as follows:

i) Blue-collar workers (those dealing with machines and engaged in loading, unloading etc.) and white-collar workers (clerical employees)

ii) Managerial and non-managerial personnel

iii) Professionals (Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Lawyer, etc.) and non-professional personnel.
