How is the sound vibration captured by tympanum
How is the sound vibration captured by tympanum transmitted through ossicular chain of middle ear?
Expert
The acoustic transmission from external to middle ear (and to internal ear too) is entirely mechanical. The vibration of tympanic membrane triggers the vibration of hammer that then causes incus to vibrate. The incus then causes stapes to vibrate.
