Reproduction in the beings of phylum “Chordata” is sexual, except urochordates which can also reproduce asexually. In various classes such as osteichthyes fishes, cyclostomes and amphibians, there exists the larval stage. With rare exceptions, amphibians, fishes, reptiles and monotreme mammals are oviparous, egg-laying (embryos is developed within eggs and outside body of the mother) and marsupial and placental mammals are viviparous (embryos is developed inside body of the mother, feeding from her).
