Glomerular filtration
Where does most of the reabsorbed water go after glomerular filtration? What are the other substances which are reabsorbed by nephron tubules?
Expert
Only 0.5 to 1% of glomerular filtrate is removed in the form of urine. The remaining volume, consisting mainly of glucose, metabolic ions, amino acids and water, is reabsorbed through the nephron tubules by the means of active or passive transport and gains the blood circulation again. The convolute tubules of nephron are responsible for the reabsorption of the substances.
