Expert
The iris works similar to the diaphragm of a photographic camera as it has muscles which contract or relax differing the pupil diameter. Whenever the luminous intensity heightens the parasympathetic nervous system commands the contraction of pupil; whenever there is shortage of light, sympathetic nervous system stimulates the dilation of pupils. Such movements depend on the muscles of the iris.
