When a fragment of nucleic acid has a nucleotide sequence TAC, can anyone assert that it is a codon or an anticodon?

A nucleic acid containing a TAC sequence surely is not tRNA, it is DNA as RNA doesn’t present the nitrogen-containing base thymine. As it is not RNA it can’t be a codon or an anticodon.
