After each and every round of Krebs cycle two carbon dioxide molecules, eight protons (or hydrogen ions) which is captured by FAD and NAD (the hydrogen acceptor) and one ATP molecule are produced and generated.

Throughout the Krebs cycle acetyl CoA is degraded (broken). At the ending utile energy is incorporated in hydrogens transported through NADH2 and FADH2 molecules.
