There are two fields of Substantive law:
1. Public law:
It is concerned with the conduct of government and with the relationship between government and private individuals. Public law is divided into categories such as administrative, constitutional as well as criminal.
2. Private law:
It consists of the rules governing relations between private individuals or cluster of individuals. Private law can be divided into categories such as contracts, business relationships, business entities and property rights which form the substance of business law and are the main focus of this document.
