British Columbia in 1958 and Ontario in 1994 have followed lead of English Parliament and revokes sections of Sale of Goods Act which required special kinds of evidence to enforce contracts for sale of goods. Other common-law provinces would have necessities to protect sales of goods over a certain dollar amount.
