Performance Management: Performance management includes set of activities which ensures that both organisational and personal goals are met in a most effective and in efficient manner. It can focus on performance of an organisation, employee, a department or even the service or the product itself. There are many other areas on which performance management can focus. PM principles are used all over the world to assess the performance when a work is completed. It is a strategic and an integrated approach. It helps in managing employee and facilitates effective delivery of operational and strategic goals. More and more companies are requiring that managers periodically conduct formal performance appraisal interviews with their subordinates. The conflict between the managerial roles of evaluator and developer is a timeless dilemma; it can undermine managers’ capacity to build developmental relationships with their subordinates. Consequently, their supervisors may have an inaccurate or complete view of their subordinates needs.
