Give a brief explanation of the term Mobile IP.

When the user leaves the network with which his device is allocated (home network) and enters the domain of a foreign network, the foreign network employs the Mobile IP protocol to notify the home network of the care-of address to that all packets for user's device must be sent.
Mobile IP is most frequently found in wireless WAN environments where users need to carry their mobile devices across numerous LANs with various IP addresses.
