An Inter-Stream Transit Protocol (or ISTP) is a secure protocol which lets Internet Service Providers (or ISPs) to offer elevated bandwidth multimedia services over their networks. The ISTP application is installed as the new protocol handler in browsers. It comprises components that enable Internet Service Providers to acquire incremental revenue from advertisers, subscribers, other ISPs, and streaming video givers in exchange for using premium bandwidth services onto their networks.
