Gastrulation is the procedure via which a part of the blastula wall undergoes invagination within the blastocele forming a tube termed as archenteron (that is, primitive intestine). The cells of the internal side of the tube form the endoderm (that is, germ layer) and the cells of the external side form the ectoderm (other germ layer). This is the starting of the tissue differentiation in the embryonic growth.
