The two principle reasons in order to expand the memory includes: to increase the word size or increasing the capacity. Within the bit- organised memory, every integrated circuit stores 1 bit of each word. A memory where each bit of the word is stored within the circuit is known as the word- organised.
Access time of the ROM refers to the time needed to acquire the valid output when reading it. It may also be specified as the interval between the time that the input address bits are valid.
