Fishes consists of the pair of kidneys which filter the blood. Bony fishes excrete the nitrogen as ammonia, NH3, they are ammoniotelic and on the other hand cartilaginous fishes excrete urea as nitrogen waste they are ureotelic, such as mammals and adult amphibians.
