This will be one of the major challenges, on the one hand, there is the challenge to meet the expectation of the highly educated with shrinking opportunities for promotion because of the downsizing and flattening so organizations, and on the other hand, there is the challenge of bringing employees up to speed in knowledge-based organizations. As technology increases and the skills required to remain competitive in the quality- conscious, global economy continue to rise, companies will have to train and educate their employees. Those with high school educations will find that these skills will carry them only so far, and additional training and education are needed. Even engineers and other high-tech personnel will need to continually necessary in order to streamline the work, and the employees must be able to adjust to these expanding knowledge requirements.
