a) Earth Station :-The antenna systems upon or near the earth are considered as Earth Station.

b) Uplink :-The transmission from earth station to the satellite is known as Uplink.

c) Downlink :-A  transmission  from  satellite  to  the  earth  station  is  called  as Downlink.
